While Mammootty starrer ‘Kasaba’ is creating record numbers at box office, it has attracted controversies along the way. The Kerala Women’s Commission has criticized the movie for misogynistic dialogues. KC Rosakutty who chairs the commission has slammed Mammootty for not asking to change his dialogues. The U/A certified film is being criticised for Mammootty’s chauvinistic role.
Meanwhile, Kerala Censor Board head Dr.A. Pratibha maintained that the language used in the film does not come under cuss words. The film’s director Nithin Renji Panicker has clarified that his film reflects the reality of the Indian society. However, Mammootty is yet to comment on the issue.
